Medial Reserve Corps (MRC)

 
 

Program Background

The mission of the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is to establish a team of local volunteer medical and public health professionals who can contribute their skills and expertise throughout the year as well as during times of community need.

 Our Goals:

  • Strengthen our capacity to respond to natural or manmade disasters.
     
  • Provide guidance in comprehensive disaster planning with public health focus.
     
  • Develop functional capacity for planning, activities, and workforce readiness related to disaster response.
     
  • Utilize the Health Alert Network (HAN) – a public health communication system of training and technology linking all key players in the event of a disaster (e.g., Bio-terrorism incident.)
