The Vision Specialty Clinic provides services for children who have
vision disorders or are at risk for vision disorders.
A
child is referred to a vision clinic for eye turn pathology and/or
failing a vision screening. Vision clinics are staffed by public
health nurses, vision consultants, optometrists, and
ophthalmologists who are licensed and/or board certified in their
specialty. Services that are performed at the vision clinics are
examination of the eyes to determine refractive and medical
problems.
Children with no vision insurance may qualify for free glasses.
